As an artist, I am deeply captivated by the meditative process of creating mandalas. My work transcends mere visual appeal, aiming instead to blend artistic intricacy with practical functionality. I craft pieces like tealights that illuminate spaces, rainbow catchers that cast vibrant prisms, keychains and embellished journals which serve everyday needs, and affirmations jars that are sassy and functional adding amusement and motivational daily notes enhanced by the delicate beauty of mandala art.
I want to give a shout out to a few of my inspirational, talented artists that have shared their art and instruction.
Jenna@jgrondzdart was my first teacher and biggest inspiration. Although I'm sure I'm at least 50 years older than her, I wanna grow up to be just like Jenna. She devotes HOURS a day to helping and instructing new dot artists. Her videos inspire so many. I am also inspired by Art of Points and Shunya Creations .
I've only been doing this since August of 2024 and everyday is another opportunity to do better!
About me, Cindeelee
I have been doing art since I was 12 or 13. I started playing guitar and singing. I wanted to be the next Joan Baez , Janis Ian, Carol King or Janis Joplin. I could hit the notes, but lacked the focus.
That's always been my problem, I'm a flibbertigibbet.
So, I love to create, repurpose and seek out new ways to express myself.
Exploring Mandala painting has been so fun! I took a little class at the local library after I retired from being a Drug Counselor the last 10 years. It's kinda hard to turn to the tap off on being employed my whole life. So my husband of 36 years and I bought a house and I created the most beautiful garden paradise and then created an art studio that's all my own that looks out over the garden.
I am so blessed to have this little oasis because after I retired, we became my 95 yr old Dads sole caregivers.
